How To Potty Train

Thank you for checking back in about Potty Training.

Here are the steps to make this transition a little more easier. What you can start off with is reading a book about going to the bathroom or create one. Parents praise them for just sitting on the potty and praise their effort. Don't worry if nothing happens, its OK. Talk with them to ease any fears about this strange new place they now have to visit often. It  always helps  if you allow your daughter to go into the bathroom with mom and your son go into the bathroom with dad. I say this because men and women preform differently in the bathroom. Modeling  is a great way to teach bathroom habits.such as how to use the toilet, how to clean themselves and how to wash their hands.

 Look for the peepee dance, this is the time to take them to the bathroom. Ask you toddler often about going to the bathroom, they will probably say no, but take them anyway so they will get use to going into a bathroom.
